Isola was approached by IKU – Italy Kosher Union – for the job of managing the official website. Here is how we approached the project and what goals and results we achieved.
Italy Kosher Union is the body responsible for issuing Kosher or Kasher (literally “Conforming to the Law“) certification.
The official website, already up and running when we were contacted, is the perfect tool to understand the basic concept: to have Kosher certification, foods must meet very restrictive standards.
These rules stipulate not only which ingredients can be used and which cannot, but also what the proper production and packaging procedures are.
Compliance with these principles derived from The Torah, is verified by experts and leads to the issuance of Kosher certification.
Italy Kosher Union (IKU) gave our team the opportunity to engage on a project with a multicultural scope. And we loved it! If it is always true that food is an expression of a people, this is all the more true for Kosher food, which also identifies the Jewish Creed.
For over three thousand years , strict adherence to food rules has been an integral part of the Jewish religion. Thus arises the need, dictated by the hectic pace of modern life, to verify the supply chain and check that manufactures and producers are in line with the requirements necessary to obtain Kosher certification.
And it is precisely the rigidity of the standards and strict control that have made Kosher certification a global mark of quality and wholesomeness. A cultural transformation that has resulted in many companies and manufacturers deciding to adhere to the protocol, spreading Kosher products not only among people of the Jewish religion, but also among those of a different cult. A phenomenon found especially in the United States of America.
The job IKU asked us to do was to take care of the official website, putting our professionalism at the service of routine and extraordinary maintenance operations. This is what Italy Kosher Union website management consists of:
